Kononia combines real-time absence tracking with bulk scheduling tools to ensure no member of your congregation is overlooked.

1. Automated Absence Cases

When a member misses several consecutive services or Sunday School sessions, the system raises a flag and schedules an automated check-in:

Consecutive Absences Alert: If a member’s absences reach your church’s alert threshold (typically 3 or 4 consecutive missed events), the system flags the profile.
Auto-Generated Cases: Every night, the platform automatically generates “Absence Follow-up” cases for flagged individuals.
Direct Shepherd Assignment: The case is automatically assigned to the shepherd designated on the member’s Family profile. This routes the check-in request directly to the servant who knows the family best.

For seasonal visitations or parish campaigns, administrators can create visitation requests in bulk:

Lent & Advent Visitations: Schedule church-wide visitation programs for holidays.
Filter Criteria: Create batches by filtering members (for example, generating check-in cases only for “Families in the North District” or “College Youth”).
Automatic Allocation: The bulk generator distributes the visitation cards to the correct assigned household servants in one process.

Servants receive these automated and bulk cases on their personal dashboard:

Pending Tasks: View a checklist of families requiring follow-up.
Log Call or Visit: Click the task to immediately phone the member or log details of a home visit, closing the case once contact is established.
