Providing members with accurate summaries of their giving is simple. Kononia automates generating tax-compliant quarterly and annual contribution statements.
1. Automated Statement Generation
At the end of the fiscal year (or quarterly), administrators can run the statement generator:
- Comprehensive Ledger: The system pulls all recorded donations (cash, check, card, and online transfers) for the selected timeframe.
- Tax-Deductibility Filters: Only donations logged as “Tax Deductible” are included in the totals, ensuring compliance with local tax guidelines.
- Address & Detail Matching: The generator pulls household addresses from the Families module, ensuring statements are formatted correctly for mailing.
2. Professional PDF Formats
Statements are compiled into a downloadable PDF format:
- Official Branding: The document automatically embeds your parish name, logo, tax ID, and address in the header.
- Itemized History: A detailed table lists transaction dates, amounts, designated funds, and payment methods.
- Diocesan Review: Includes a signed certification block confirming the charitable contribution for tax filing.
3. Delivery Options
Save time and mailing costs by distributing statements directly from the platform:
- Email Distribution: Send PDFs to members’ registered email addresses with a single click.
- Self-Service Downloads: Members can access the Giving tab on their portal profile to view and download past statements at any time.
- Manual Print Out: Admins can download statements in bulk as a single PDF file, ready to print and fold into envelopes for members without active email addresses.
