Donations Tracking & Pledges
Centralize your church’s giving and donations. Kononia makes it simple to manage designated alms, log offline tithes, track pledges, and provide members with full visibility into their contributions.
1. Designated Giving Funds
Churches often raise money for specific campaigns. You can organize contributions by creating designated funds:
- Fund Campaigns: Categorize alms into target funds (such as General Alms, Building Fund, Sunday School Curriculum, or Missions).
- Target Goals: Set optional fundraising targets for specific funds. The system displays visual progress bars showing how close a campaign is to its target.
- Active Status: Close funds when campaign goals are reached, preventing accidental subsequent contributions.
2. Logging Offline Donations
To maintain a complete financial ledger, administrators can log traditional offline alms (cash and check contributions):
- Admins Ledger: Select a member, choose the target fund, enter the amount, and choose the payment method (cash, check, or bank transfer).
- Check Tracking: Record check numbers and deposit dates for clean audit logging.
- Envelope Numbers: Assign physical envelope numbers to members. When logging cash alms in batches, admins can input by envelope number for quick recording.
- Anonymous Contributions: Support almsgiving privacy by recording gifts without linking them to specific member profiles.
3. Managing Pledges
Pledges are commitments to donate specific amounts over a set timeframe (e.g., monthly or annually):
- Setting Pledges: Members can register pledges toward designated funds through their profile dashboard.
- Progress Monitoring: Both members and administrators can monitor how much has been contributed against a pledge, making it easy to see if recurring gifts are on track.
- Pledge Campaign Management: View campaign summaries to project future monthly income based on active commitments.
